How to publish a Meta campaign with MelonAds: connect your account, pick a campaign type, audience, daily budget and ads, then publish in five steps.
A Facebook account with access to an active ad account in Business Manager, with a payment method set up at Meta.
A Facebook business Page. Every Meta ad runs from a business Page.
Copy and a creative you made in the studios, or an image or video of your own.
For a website leads or sales campaign: a Meta pixel installed on your site.
In the menu, click "Create campaign". At the "Connect account" step, click "Connect with Meta". A Facebook window opens, where you approve the permissions to manage ads.
Once connected, choose an ad account from the list and click "Continue to campaign details". Manage several accounts? You can switch ad accounts at any step from the picker at the top of the screen.
Choose the Page the ad will run from, name the campaign, and pick one of three types: "Leads to website" (people leave details on your landing page), "Instant form leads" (people fill a form inside Facebook) or "Sales" (purchases on your site).
For website leads and sales, choose a pixel and a conversion event, such as a sign-up. Without them Meta would chase clicks instead of customers, so you can't continue without them. For an instant form, choose the lead form, and the Page is set from it.
Set a daily budget. Under the slider you'll see the minimum Meta requires for this account.
Choose countries, an age range and gender. In "Interests", search for a topic such as "fitness" or "real estate" and see how many people Meta has in each one.
Then choose ad placements: Feed, Stories and Reels on Facebook and Instagram, and more. Click "Continue to creative".
Pick copy from "Select copy you've created" and an image from your creatives, or upload an image or video. Add a headline, choose a button (for example "Contact us") and paste the destination URL. An instant form ad has no destination URL, because the ad opens the form.
Want to test several versions? In the "Generate A/B test variations for me" section, choose how many ads to create (10, 20, 30). This works once your library has at least 10 copy versions and 10 creatives. The system pairs your copy and creatives without repeating a combination. For campaign structure, keep "Consolidated", which is marked as recommended.
Next to the form (below it on a phone) there's a "Live preview" of the ad in Feed, Stories and Reels.
At "Review & publish" you see the whole campaign on one screen: type, budget, audience, placements and ads. Anything missing is marked "Missing".
At "Launch the campaign?" choose: off, and the campaign is created without spending anything, or on, and it starts running as soon as Meta approves the ads. Click "Publish campaign".
Not sure yet? Publish with the switch off, check the campaign calmly, and switch it on later from "My campaigns".
Give Meta several different ads in the same ad set. That way it finds the audience that responds to each one.
To know which ad each lead came from, open "URL parameters (UTM / ref)" in the creative step and add parameters to the address.
Planned the campaign in the funnel? The ads, copy and pages will be waiting in the wizard, and you only need to set the audience and budget.
Trying a website leads campaign with no pixel. Without one, Meta can't tell who left their details. Create a pixel in Meta Events Manager, install it on your site, and come back to the wizard.
Choosing "Instant form leads" with no form connected. First go to "Leads" in the menu, open the client, and under "Lead sources & connection" click "Facebook form".
Choosing "Ad set per variation" with the same audience in every set. The sets compete with each other for the same people. If the audience is the same, keep the consolidated structure.
A daily budget too low for a conversion campaign. Meta needs enough conversions a week to learn. If the wizard shows a budget warning, consider raising it.
No. Publishing itself costs no credits. Credits are used only when you create copy or creatives in the studios.
Meta charges the daily budget directly, to the payment method set on your ad account.
Make sure you have access to the ad account in Business Manager and that you allowed access to your Pages in the Facebook window. If you created a Page recently, disconnect and reconnect your Meta account to refresh the permissions.
The campaign is created in your ad account and goes to Meta for review. After that you can see it, switch it on or off, and track results in "My campaigns".
A notice appears at the "Connect account" step; click "Reconnect with Meta". Your campaigns keep running at Meta even while the connection to the system is expired.
