Funnel: plan the whole campaign on one board — MelonAds

A guide to the MelonAds funnel: lay out strategy, ads, landing page and platform on one board, then hand the plan to the Meta campaign wizard.

What you need first

A monthly plan. The funnel is included in every monthly plan, and building one costs no credits.

A finished strategy, and ideally some copy and creatives you've already made in the studios.

A page for the ads to send people to: a landing page published in the system, or the address of a page you have elsewhere.

1. Start a new funnel

In the menu, click "Funnel", then "Build your first funnel" (or "New funnel" if you already have some).

Give it a name, for example "Winter sale", and choose a strategy. The strategy you pick will already be on the board when it opens. Click "Create".

2. Add blocks and connect them

The "Blocks" menu has five kinds: strategy, ad, landing page, after sign-up page and platform. Drag a block onto the board, or tap it to add it.

To connect, drag an arrow from one block's connection point to the next block. The order is always the same: strategy, ad, page, platform. Each ad sends to one page and runs on one platform.

Everything saves on its own. You'll see "Saved" in the corner after each change.

3. Fill in the ads

In each ad block, choose copy and a creative from what's already been made for the strategy. The block shows a preview of the ad, and you can switch platforms to see how it will look on each.

Want several ads at once? Click "Create variations" and choose "Automatic mix" or a number of ads. The system adds an ad block for each variation, and then you connect each ad to its page.

4. Connect the page

In the landing page block, choose "Existing landing page" from your pages in the system, or "Page on another system" and paste its address. You can open "Live preview" to see the page inside the block.

A page marked "not published" has no address yet. Publish it before you go to the wizard.

The "After sign-up page" block (thank-you page or VSL) is for planning only. It helps you see the whole path, but it doesn't change the page itself.

5. Hand off to the campaign wizard

In the platform block, choose Meta and click "To the campaign wizard". Publishing to Google from the funnel is marked "Coming soon" for now.

Before the handoff, the system checks the funnel. If something is missing, like an ad with no creative or an unpublished page, you get a list. Clicking "Show me where" highlights the blocks to fix.

When everything checks out, click "To the campaign wizard". Each ad arrives in the wizard with its copy, creative and page address. Nothing is published until you review the settings and confirm.

Tips

Always start with a strategy block. Without a connected strategy, the ad block can't offer copy or creatives.

Want to test two pages? Connect some ads to one page and some to another. In the wizard, each ad arrives with its own page.

For a similar campaign, duplicate an existing funnel from the three-dot menu on its card and change only what you need.

Deleting a funnel deletes only the plan. Copy, creatives, pages and published campaigns stay.

Common mistakes

Connecting an ad straight to the platform with no page. It's allowed, but then you'll have to choose its destination or lead form yourself in the wizard.

Choosing a page that isn't published yet. The wizard needs a real address, so publish the page first.

Connecting too many ads to one platform. One campaign takes up to 30 ads. If you have more, split them into two funnels.

Does building a funnel cost credits?

No. The funnel is included in every monthly plan. Credits are used only when you create new copy or creatives in the studios.

Does the funnel publish the campaign for me?

No. The funnel plans and hands everything to the campaign wizard. There you review the settings, set the audience and budget, and publish yourself.

Can I use a page that wasn't built in MelonAds?

Yes. In the page block, choose "Page on another system" and paste the full address, starting with https://.

Can I send the funnel to a Google campaign?

Not yet. The Google block is on the board for planning, but the handoff to the wizard works only for Meta right now.
